I am not missing in action buy I am missing crafting!

I sure miss being on here and blog hopping!  I miss crafting and challenges!  I hope to be back real soon.  My mom came to visit and when she arrived she was very sick.  I called for the ambulance after a couple days and it turns out she has had pneumonia, collapsed lung, lung cancer, and blood clots in her leg and lung.  I have been her caregiver along with being a caregiver for my husband and our 3 girls so I just haven't had time to craft :(  I hope to be back very, very soon!  Many prayers would be appreciated for my mom to pull through and become a cancer survivor again.

1. I think I spend more time trying to shop for craft items I want then actually using them!

2. Most days I swear I am the most organized disorganized person there is.  (If this doesn't make sense I am not sure it should!  LoL...  But what I mean by this is that I start doing one thing and get interupted so many times in a day that all my organization habits get put aside.)

3. I love The Sims games for the designing aspect of the games but gave it up for crafting!  I think I should have stuck with the Sims.....It was a much cheaper hobby!

Just Because Laney Bug Card

This is the first Easel Card I have ever made.  I really wanted to make one for a little angel's parents that lost their 3 year old daughter.  Her name is Delaney Wadsworth they called her Laney Bug because she loves Ladybugs.  Delaney passed away 2 weeks ago due to 100% fatal brain tumor called Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG).  If you are interest in her story you can find her journey on Facebook at Prayers for Delaney.  You can also read an awesome article view pictures and watch a video of her here.  There is an address for the family on her facebook page and in the article at the link above if you are interested in sending her family a card. 

I made this card for Delaney's family but also wanted to incorporate it into challenges to try and bring more awareness for DIPG.  I realize it is not a traditional type of card for a grieving family but it is what I felt I had to create with her in mind.

Circle Weekly Challenge #24: St. Paddy's!

The Challenge: Use rainbow colors OR a monochromatic green color scheme on your project. We also want to see you add a touch of gold somewhere on your project.

Yes I know...it is yet another decorated tree.  ; )  I really wanted to make St. Patrick's Day Cards for my girls to enter into the challenge or tags for the gift boxes but on of my little girls kept getting up all night and my time line for getting them done was gone.  I only had time to make them green cookies with green frosting and slip them into quickly made gift boxes.

February Circle Magazine Contest: Cricut Everyday!

Contest Rules: Use at least 3 Cricut Cuts from the Cricut Everyday Cartridge in the design.

Surround Yourself
I used the Everyday Cartridge to decorate my tree I keep on my desk to decorate for each season/holiday.  Now I have my Surround Yourself Tree for in between the holidays.  My girls love decorating the tree.  We have only had it a couple months but they are learning that we make decorations for the tree together.  My 3 year old helped hang some of the ornaments on the tree and she even picked out a few of the colors for a couple of the craft items and glued  them together.

Now I can only hope I have been a good girl and Cricut will come and bare Gifts like Santa and leave me some nice crafting goodies under the tree ; )

The base of the tree is decorated with my Circle boxes and Confetti I recieve my Circle Cartridges in.

I carefully removed the cardboard and glued the pretty green circle paper to white cardstock. 

The size is 2 pcs. cut at 9.5 x 4.75 and tape together at the corners on the backside.  It will then slide on and off the base easily for storage.

My husband mentioned the other day he could use a bookmark so I decided to make a card to hold a bookmark for him.  He love Skulls and because my name is Angel so he also likes Angels.  He has a huge tattoo of wings similar to the ones on this card across his chest.  The colors on the JT Imagine cartridge are also all his style.  So her is what I came up with!  I hope you enjoy and TFL!

All For Aidan

Aidan is a sweet lil 2 year old who was recently diagnosed with T Cell Leukemia. On Wednesday, he had a port installed in his chest, spinal tap, bone marrow, and chemo in his spine. He did GREAT! This lil guy is such a trooper.  His parents have accepted that their BABY has Leukemia.. NOT the easiest thing to accept, but their faith in God and their support system have kept them going. T-Cell Leukemia has a high cure rate although chemo will be continued for quite a while. Lil Aidan LOVES mail, like any 2 year old does. So....


   I need your help. Let's get our crafting supplies out and send this lil guy some LOVE!!!  Pass this on to all your crafty friends. I think we can all take a couple minutes and make something special for him that will bring LOTS of smiles and he can look at over and over.

Circle Weekly Challenge #20: Love Notes!

Rules for challenge:

Valentine’s Day is just a few days away and we thought it would be fun to challenge you to put your scrappy skills to use by creating an extra special note for someone you adore. It can be a friend, your mom, a lover, your child, a neighbor . . . anyone! Your project must include a heart and embossing (we want to see you incorporate those Cuttlebug embossing folders).
